Jefferson Heath & Tressa Safford Family

This page is devoted to all of the documents and records collected for the Jefferson Heath family. Jefferson was born in 1860 in Marshall County, Illinois. He grew up in McDonough County surrounded by related families of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. In 1869 his family moved to Butler County, Kansas and settled on the Whitewater River. Jeff grew to manhood there and began to look for land in other places. A newspaper article in 1886 mentions Jeff and others going to Lane County, Missouri to acquire land. Jeff had married Tressa Sanford and in 1888 he moved his family to Missouri where he spent the rest of his life.

Federal Census Records  1900  1910  1920   Earlier Federal Census' he was listed with his parents. He died in 1919 and thus is not on the 1920 census but his wife is listed.
