Land Deed - Land purchased in Osage County, Kansas just prior to John's death in 1872.
Pre-emption Patent - John claimed this land by pre-emption. This means he essentially claimed it and "improved" it much like homesteading. Once approved he paid for the land at an inexpensive rate.
John Craig Death Notice - John's death was noted in a roundup of passings for the year.
Lucinda Wheat Craig Death Notice and Obit
Lucinda Craig Probate Lucinda died in 1887. Her son John was her Executor.
