Johann Jochim was a White Tanner (Weissgerber) which was an elite type of tanner. He was married twice. His first wife was Magdalena Gertraut Böge who bore him 4 children prior to her death. His second wife was Anna Elizabeth Klempau and they had 3 children prior to his death. 2 of these children died in infancy. Jochim became a citizen of the city in 1785.
