Mary V. Reider (1889 - 1923)
Mary was a daughter of Jerome Henry Reider. She became the matriarch of the family after her father died in 1918 and older sister Freida in 1919. Mom had died in 1910. Some of her younger siblings were stll not adults. The family stayed together in the house on Raymond inherited originally from maternal grandfather Anton Buhler. Most of the Reider family women suffered and died from tuberculosis. Mary died from it in December 1923 just days before the birth of John Reider who was the first of the next generation.

Quitclaim Deed from William Reider to sister Mary - This cedes his interest in the Raymond House. At the time, William was in the U.S. Navy and stationed in San Diego.
Mary's Death Certificate - Mary is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles along side her parents, maternal grandfather and some siblings.
